In a always-in-a-hurry world like ours, small things go usually unnoticed, not only due to their tiny size: sometimes it’s not easy to see the beauty that lies within everyday objects, as we are used to consider them not worth a second look.
I am particularly fond of those details available in nature, and when I was a child I was lucky enough to be taught by my mom to find beauty everywhere. But together with beauty, I also see some sort of magic in this tiny yet meaningful world that I try and capture with my photography.
And what about you? Do you ever see magic in the simplest of things? And what is your personal idea of “magic”?
My favorite quote by William Blake explains my idea of magic pretty well:
To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.
William Blake, Auguries of Innocence
